Worming from Home Updates

Clock-in dates, trailers, and the notes that follow a two-person studio.

Updates Hub

Worming from Home is a released Steam game as of 4 September 2026. This hub is the timeline, not a rumor mill. The detailed launch write-up is Launch Notes. The reception and intro-discount clock sit on First Week After Launch. Gameplay still lives in Guides. Shop ranks live in Tier List. If a future patch moves a perk or a portal, it should be linked from here and from the page it actually changes.

Why an updates hub exists for a $8 sim

Two-person teams patch. Saves are JSON. Steam Cloud is on. Deck verification already happened once in late August 2026. You want a single place that says what is out, what was a demo-only tease, and what is not coming (a second player, a codes pipeline). That last part matters because this template-shaped wiki will not grow a fake live-ops calendar.

Timeline worth keeping

  • 19 February 2025 — SteamDB first sees the app.
  • 23–25 January 2026 — announcement trailer (official channel and press mirrors).
  • 30 January 2026 — Steam demo.
  • June 2026 Next Fest — demo update notes: worm hole, smartphone cosmetics, broader demo access.
  • 16 July 2026 — Secret Sauce showcase, release date 4 September, new trailer.
  • 28 August 2026 — one-week note: about 75k wishlists, Steam Deck Verified.
  • 4 September 2026 — 15:00 UTC Steam launch, launch trailer, intro discount window.
  • 5 September 2026 — public branch build updates already visible on SteamDB, first-day peak concurrency in the high hundreds.

Use Launch Notes for the narrative version of that list, including price, languages, and what the first patch pass is likely to touch (physics edge cases, shop text, Deck glyphs).

How to read a future patch

  1. Steam news first, Discord second, this wiki third.
  2. If it changes movement, edit your mental controls notes.
  3. If it changes the shop, check upgrades before you spend.
  4. If it changes a task, check complete tasks.
  5. If someone claims a second player, check the store page. At launch it was single-player only.

What we will not post

Invented patch numbers, leaked DLC roadmaps, or “codes reset Friday.” An unknown SteamDB DLC ID sitting in a depot table is not a trailer. When the developers name a thing, it can move from this paragraph onto Launch Notes.

New players should not start here. Start at Getting Started, then come back when the build ID in the corner has changed. Official channels are collected on Links. Hardware floors stay on system requirements.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is the game in early access?

No. Steam lists a full 4 September 2026 release. This wiki uses released status.

Where are patch notes posted?

Steam news and the developers' Discord. We summarize them on Launch Notes after they are public.

Did the demo content make it in?

The full game is the job sim the demo pitched, plus post-demo toys like the worm hole. Exact shop rows can still shift in patches.
