How the layoff sheet actually works

Demo and launch playthroughs show a table of short intern names with a rating column and a salary of zero. The prompt is blunt: enter the name of the intern we should lay off in F2. Procedure that matches the footage:

1. Camera-lock the monitor. Confirm you are in F2, not F3, not the header row.
2. Read the ratings. Playthroughs fire Mark, Davies, or whichever name is shortest to type. There is no published moral. The joke is HR with a worm.
3. Type the name as a physics commute. Case can matter. Shift or Caps Lock is a platform, not a UI toggle.
4. Confirm on the monitor before you bounce away. A nearby key invents a new intern who does not exist.

If the card also wants a formula or a height in inches, that is a second commute. Height lives in the world, not in your head. Fetch it, then come back. That pattern is the same as other exploration sheets on the task guide.

Buying an intern

Catalogs from demo shops list an intern as a purchasable next to the L-desk tease, webcam, drinking bird, and worm weights. Rank it after desk and mouse unless you are here for the bit. An intern does not type your password. They will not enter the worm hole with you. They can stand in the way of a charged hop. They can appear on a webcam you should have kept dark while chasing promotion.
